All about ants!

Ants Are Always Abou

From Hill to Hotel: The Ant Vacation Destination

The tireless workers of the insect world, can be both a blessing and a nuisance when they check into your bug hotel.

On the positive side, ants contribute to soil health by aerating the ground as they build their intricate tunnels, much like efficient housekeeping staff ensuring proper ventilation.

They also play a role in pest control, preying on harmful insects like aphids and serving as cleanup crews for decaying organic matter. However, their ambitious nature can make them overstep boundaries. Ants may invade neighbours, such as bee rooms, where they steal their food and disturb the young population, threatening the delicate balance of your ecosystem.

In large numbers, ants may also drive away or outcompete other beneficial insects, diminishing the diversity of your bug hotel.

Managing ant populations by removing attractants like sugary substances or providing alternative nesting sites can ensure they remain helpful contributors rather than becoming disruptive squatters.
